Against the macro backdrop of the global energy transition and the “dual-carbon” goals, the green and low-carbon development of lifting machinery has evolved from a mere trend into a clear mainstream industrial direction. Current technological exploration is primarily focused on fundamental transformations in power systems: pure-electric drive technology has become increasingly mature and is now widely adopted in lifting equipment with medium and small lifting capacities, as well as in fixed environments such as ports and factory premises. Such equipment boasts features including zero tailpipe emissions, low operating noise, and high energy efficiency. More forward-looking efforts are directed toward diversified clean power sources, such as hydrogen energy, aiming to provide sustainable “zero-carbon operation” solutions for large-scale mobile cranes. The implications of electrification extend beyond simply replacing the power source—it also drives innovation in overall machine design. For instance, by optimizing structural designs and adopting new materials, entire machines can be made lighter, directly reducing energy consumption during operation. Meanwhile, intelligent energy management systems can automatically adjust power output based on operational conditions and recover braking energy, further enhancing overall energy efficiency.
